For those going early to watch the 2's

I just rang the membership department and they have assured me that the collection points for membership packs will be manned from when the gates open.

With the Telstra Stadium no passouts policy, I had 4 very worried kids who thought they may miss out because we get there so early.

What's the deal with this??? Why can't I get out of the ground and go back in again? Have always been able to in Melbourne, is this just a Sydney thing, or just Telstra Stadium?

I think it's a Sydney thing. I haven't noticed any pass-outs at the SCG either.

In Victoria you can't smoke inside the ground, in NSW you can. Aside from that reason I'm sure we've always had passouts in Vic.

No passouts at Telstra Dome this year either.

Smokers will be confined to an area inside the dome. Once inside this area, they will be shot!!

thanks BBB - ORB & I were a bit concerned about that too seeing as there are no pass outs. I mean the 2006 hat is never to be worn again - I will wear the 2005 (of course) - but would prefer the 2007!
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

Does anyone know whats happening in the massive gap between the end of the ressies match (about 4.30-5pm) and the start of the seniors? Its a 2 hour break at least!!

I guess I'll find out tomorrow in any case

There is an Auskick clinic on tomorrow night before the main game, I assume that's the reason for the gap.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

                          Interesting!

And by interesting I mean 'great for the game but incredibly boring until a kid stacks it'.

                            Typical @@@@ing sydney bung fight...

Seriously.. two hours between the games???? What dip @@@@ made that call???

I'm all for the auskick for the kids but how about at half time in the "reserves and an 30min session in between games??? Lets face it, kids have the attention span of the average Sipsons episode so 30mins would be ample...

No wonder no one turns up to the reserves games...

Just spotted something very interesting in the Canberra Times:

An AFL Canberra rule drafted to try to curb the Swans' dominance will come into effect this weekend, allowing the Sydney team only 15 listed players on the ground at any one time.
Not sure whether that means we are playing 15 v 18 or we can only play 15 listed players with 3 'top-up' players (the latter I suspect). In any case, I think we should expect some losses this year especially if a few injuries hit.
