Why no change to the structure?

We need players to take on their opponents which they don't want to do when we run and carry we play well when we over do the handballs teams like the wobbles just tie us up in knots we need to step our opponents and Shepard our own players against lock down teams like collingwood.
Try playing on quickly carry the ball then kick it long what have we got to lose now.
Stack our forward line with talls and have some crumbers at their feet for the loose ball

One example in the final quarter was when Shimidt had the ball all he had to do was step his opponent but he tried to kick the cover off it and was smotherd resulting in a goal to Thomas and that was the end of the game.
Though it's not his fault he's still learning.
The players who didn't step up were Buchanan, Schneider, Fosdike, Hall, Matthews & both Boltons etc.
How about everyone except Goodes, Everitt, Malceski, & O'Keefe

I thought I was at a netball game tonight. I have never seen a team stuff around so much with handballs the soon the team realises that they are in fact allowed to kick the ball with there feet the sooner we may start to play better footy.

The little leaguers at halftime had more idea on how the game is supposed to be played than the swans do.

It may have made the midefield lift their vision to go long and OVER Barry Hall being doubled teamed to the goal square.

Sometimes a change brings new hope and enthusiasm.

We weren't even clearing the imaginary half way line. Even if we had Ablett, Dunstall and Carey standing in the forward line it would have made little difference.

That's not to excuse Hall or the other forwards either. They were all terrible.

Absolutely woeful.
Roos is trying to win games with a team that is in decline and the downward slope is getting steeper with every match.
Bring in some of our reserve players, give them a go. Who cares what games we lose the rest of this season, we are gone now anyway.
Surely we can't think of using the same tired bunch next season.

The use of Spida is frustrating. I can see him performing the role of Jason Ball (2005 in particular) - a safe pair of hands in the HFF when the pressure was on and a good kick to a lead out of the square. It's not like Spida doesn't have a nose for the ball like Bally did but maybe he just doesn't have the fitness to roam too far out of the back too often. I just think his strengths are underutilised and I got the perception from the TV broadcast tonight that he was only out there for about 25 minutes.

Roos would probably have to ask the leadership group before a change could be made.

Why Hall wasn't moved or dragged is hard to fathom. It was a complete waste of time kicking into his direction.

i was saying during the game to one of my mates that, say just for the hell of it, big bad bustling blind barry should swap spots with craig bolton for a quarter. throw the game into left field.

I know our disposal into the forward 50 was deplorable, BUT, why was Everitt or Jolly not plonked in the goal square to stretch the obviously undersized Pies defence??!!??

Hall was getting smashed so use him as a decoy and kick long to the square...why did we not change anything up??
