And the most popular sporting team in NSW is...

    ...us!

According to the latest Sensis Consumer Report for September 2009, the Swans were the most favoured sporting team in NSW (at least 5% of respondents had to nominate the team for it to qualify for listing). We beat the Australian cricket team and all of the NRL clubs.

That's a pretty good result considering where we are in the premiership cycle.

Am surprised to read that Collingwood are the most popular team in the NT. I would have thought Essendon. Then again, the methods by which the survey was conducted may have gone against the Bombers in the NT.

Combined with that other red and white team, that's a good result for the red V in general.

Convert that to memberships and we'd be the king of the membership castle!!
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
