We do burpees in the Cross Training class I go to at Fitness First. They suck. I hate them, so they must do some good...

Sorry, I didn't test the link. I just copied the url in my browser while I had that video open. I agree the link does take you through to Mummy's rehab. If you can see the section towards the foot of the main page where there are a series of video thumbnails, at the moment the In the Gym video is on the 4th page. It will probably get pushed back as more videos get uploaded, but they are in date order (backwards). It was posted on 30 November, if that helps.

I haven't got them doing any yet and haven't seen any of the other coaches doing them...not sure the exercise has much 'bang for buck' at this stage in the pre-season. But I agree, they are horrible!! We used to get thrashed with these when I was in the Commandos, mostly uphill wearing 32lbs of kit...and did so until the training team got bored!!

Thanks Liz. However when I click on it, it shoes Mummy doing his rehab. Am I doing something wrong?

Not bad liz, and if I remember correctly one Bevo was a champion at it. It looked ridiculous and showoffy and and and and

    Neither.

It looks like a variation on a chin-up but a damn sight harder - more like a whole body pull-up so that you end up with your feet above the bar. I imagine it works the abs quite hard, as well as the arms and shoulders. Probably best to go and find the videos because my description is a bit lame.

Thanks for that Liz. That was a good guess on my part and I didn't see the the videos although Sergey is from the same country as my parents. As was Jezza's family. Bit of useless trivia.

So were they jumping or leaping?

What on earth is a kinky? If it's done as exercise I can't imagine too many players would be looking forward to it.

    Thanks RC

Ha! I actually have a funny story about that. Just prior to Xmas, and without thinking I put my Ipod on random shuffle and forgot that some of my wife's music was still on there!! I had Craig Bolton complaining that they wanted a Commando!! I have subsequently ditched ALL her music just in case!!

But in answer to your question my preferred option is rock/metal - Linkin Park/ACDC/Lost Profits are all favourites...after all I'm not in there to 'feel' or 'listen' to the music...I'm in there to make my eyes bleed so I can drink beer without feeling guilty!!

By close monitoring mate. Every individual has records kept about pretty much EVERY thing he does...including sleep!! There is very little chance we can over train these guys.
