I think Sydney fans should be very proud of how the club culture advances the indigenous cause.

Magic and Goodes are my two favourite players to have worn the red and white. They are great role models for all humans and a testament to how disadvantage can be overcome.

Meanwhile, I am fast warming to the excitement machine that is Jets. My kids absolutely love him. I also smiled broadly when Louis Armstrong scored his first goal last week.

Wouldn't it be great if those two youngsters also went on to play 300 games for the club and the Swans continued to be a template for how indigenous players can be fostered towards mainstream community leadership.

Sure we don't have a 100 per cent success rate, but our record with indigenous talent is another reason why it is great to live life in red and white.
