He's been given the chance now, let's see whether he takes it.
I agree with you Tripple B and I can't see the point in knocking the bloke just for the sake of it. The other thing is you are ill informed, Nico. He has been doing everything and I mean EVERYTHING RIGHT in the 2's so let him have his day in the sun. Not that there will be much of that in Melbourne! We watch the 2's all the time and we know who is going well and who isn't so take some advice from those who are watching and in this case you can trust the selectors

Every time I have seen him this season he has been laying good tackles and chasing hard. Got at least 3 goals himself because of it and dished out a few too.

I haven't had an issue with Jude for some time. My issue with him goes back to 2007 when his form was ordinary, then he admitted he had hadn't applied himself in a 2 page spread in the Herald Sun, after it he was touted as trade bait by the media. His goal kicking was rubbish and he has fixed that. I have never questioned his ability to win the hard ball. I just don't think he is a very good centre clearance player.

Why bring the coaching staff into this?

We had a perfect view of that kick, looking straight at him thru the middle of the goals from Aisle 122.

We were up when the ball was mid flight, never going to miss.

It's clear from his Ressies form that this is part of his game that he has done a lot of work on.

The other issue last year with TDL was his ability to run games out. This year he's been thrown into the midfield at times to increase his motor and he looks as fit as I've seen him.

The other thing I noticed this year is how vocal he is. Last year you wouldn't have heard a peep out of him. He's clearly gaining confidence in himself that he has what it takes to be an AFL footballer.

It's great to see all his hard work has been rewarded.
