I don't like getting my 'one eye'd supporter side' out, but this is how it is.

Jobe had a fantastic year, obviously with winning the brownlow you have to. He is a fantastic leader and player.
He deserved the brownlow but so did another 3 or 4 players, it was a close year.

But I don't think Josh Kennedy gets the recognition he deserves. Probably because he doesn't play for a Melbourne club.

JPK finished first in the league in Clearences, contested possessions (very important stats for a midfielder), and handballs.
He also kicked 30 odd goals (outside that you @@@@@) he also took marks in the forward line, backline and anywhere. As Scott Pendelbury said "He's the toughest midfielder to play on in the league"

Also, going quiet half way through the year? I bet he said that based on brownlow votes as he hasn't seen a premiership from his side in over 10 years. Premiership teams are premiership teams because they have great players everywhere.
Did you know Swans were the only team to have 4 players to poll 10 or more votes?
Kennedy didn't go quiet, he polled votes in every game for the best and fairest medal, including 2 perfect 50 vote games against a quality side in Collingwood.
Jack, Hanners and ROK all had a great second half of the year and took votes away from Kennedy.
But hey, who cares about the brownlow, we got the premiership.
JPK got 26 touches and 2 goals in that game and it wasn't close to his best game.

    Opinions on Jobe V Kennedy?
My only opinion is that I would not swap Kennedy for Watson.

I think they're quite similar players. Jobe was a worthy Brownlow winner in 2012 whilst JPK was a worthy premiership player. Not sure what more can be said and I don't think there's much between them - one could argue either way that one is better than the other. Why get mad at what some Essendon supporter says anyway???
