Apparently, it means either, nail maker or knife maker.I usually post from my phone, but I'm the first to admit I can't spell to save myself. Deludio was a slip of the tongue from numerous years of calling him that... It's stuck.
And what sort of name is nainsmith anyway?. What's wrong with plain old 'smith'? Does nain mean 'not' in his native tongue. Not a blacksmith??

barry, I never know whether your numerous spelling errors are deliberate or not. More often I think they aren't but this is clearly deliberate and hilarious in this perfect context you've used it. Not so sure what the point of always writing Nainsmith is though?

Mummy was on my flight this arvo to Melbourne in shorts and tshirt. He looks really trim and taut compared to a couple of years ago. I'd go so far to say that he was cut. He must've given up the snags (but not the Coke) for his boxing career.

We gave Rose no.1 and that's done wonders for him ????Punched well below his weight
I didn’t think Plugger was past it. Just lost too much weight and perhaps a little susceptible to injury. No longer the physical intimidating forward he was a few years earlier. And I know it’s just a number, but 46 just wasn’t the same as 4 (like Jordan, for whatever reason, didn’t play as well in 45 as he did in 23 ... won 3 more titles when he changed his number back). I thought the Hall / Plugger combination had promise.Leave a comment:

Wow, what an interesting re-write of history.Plugger had a corked thigh that just wouldn't come good. Out for weeks. His weight was lower than any time in his career. People suggested he was too light. His comeback was destroyed by injury, but hey let's not allow the facts to get in the way of a good story about a champion's fall from the pinnacle.
His inability to recover from a corkie was directly attributed to his age. Same as many older players struggle with soft tissue injuries. An example would be Deludio over the past few years.
Mummy will have the same problems I would guess.Leave a comment:

He's become a boxer. He said himself that his core and his footwork is far superior than it was and his fitness is good.Leave a comment:

What was Mummy like in his "come back game" ?
Did he look like a player thats past it (ala the plugger comeback), or can slot back in as No.1 ruck ?Leave a comment:
