I suspect it is partyul also because we have gone long with McLean to not just shuffle in the ruck but to equally be a goal kicker which has been more valuable to the team and our scoreboard pressure given no matter who goes in the ruck from the Swans we are inferior fullstop

So we have found our competitor advantage in the ruck that applies scoreboard pressure

A lot of rucks seem to perform so much better when they are the sole or designated first ruck, compared to when they are supposedly sharing the load. I ruminated at length on the topic a couple of years ago and it's still true.
Being forced to share duties or being relegated to supporting ruck status does bad things to a ruckmans head.

In the case of Ladhams, it's even more extreme - he's been dropped completely to the 2's, and then been relegated to the relieving ruck spot. There were already concerns about Mensa's head space before - lord knows that's going on in there right now - but his onfieled endevours suggest it isn't good.

He definitely plays like an school wing but now we have BJ, Gulden, JMac moving down our wings with deadly kicks do we sense Caleb maybe more so fighting for a HBF type role in the future?

The 3 players above pretty much have the wing two spots stitched up for a long time unless we see Gulden more and more becoming an inside outside mid and or BJ Campbell playing a Lloyd role in the future?

How’s everyone thinking Caleb Mitchell is tracking?

I like him. He does plenty of power running: the sort of thing where he'll bob up in the forward line, and you'll scratch your head, thinking, 'wasn't he in the back pocket a few seconds ago?' He can stick a tackle and throws himself into contests. His kicking style isn't going to win any awards, but he has put through the occasional long shot. Looking forward to him developing next season.
