If there was a NSW-ACT State of Origin team, what do you think would be the likely line-up? I have a feeling that it would be a fairly handy team & would give a Vic line-up a bit of a run for their money.

Very good mifdield, 2/3 of a premiership winning defence but lacking key forwards.
Sorry to disappoint rafters but that team would be lucky to be beat a local Sydney league team.
Your players are either 2 old- solomon, hird, or useless (shneider/lrt etc)
NSW would be ok v Qld or Tassie only
so swans reserves are too good for Sydney Premier League but the hypothetical NSW State of Origin side would only be competitive Ash? Hmmm ... interesting opinion.
I reckon that team could declare at half time & put the opposition into bat again they would be that far in front!

Well I did go through a Qld team and I don't think they'd beat the NSW team. They lack quality midfielders although they have a surfeit of ruckmen. If you combined them with a NT team then they'd have a better chanceOriginally posted by ash

And surely you're kidding with that SFL comment. The midfield alone would eat up any SFL team with one hand tied behind their collective backs.
BTW Solomon is only 26!
Please explain your reasons behind this ridiculous post.Originally posted by ash

But look at the backline. It is terrible. I could easily pluck 6 forwards from sfl that would completely dominate them.
Mcveigh is lucky he has a manager, Mathews is just a player, Barry loose and can be exploited, Solomon not the player he was, LRT- played one game in senior career (very good gf Ill admit) apart from that???, Bolton, just average. The interachange is very ordinary.

As a prelude perhaps to the Sydney AFL rep side this year, I am interested to hear which 6 SFL forwards would dominate this backline.Originally posted by ash

And for the sake of the argument lets assume that midfield clearances are 50/50.

Add Cameron Mooney to that side too.
Kennelly would also qualify as he first played in NSW.
Oh come on, he'd get towelled up by your average SFL forward.Originally posted by j s

I'll give you 6...
Kefalas,
Abott,
Coupe,
Underwood,
S Pech
Luff
Coupe would eat LRT for breakfast...
L.Barry would be chasing Abott's tail all game and acting as his step ladder...
and finally McVeigh would be lost for class against Kefalas...
Underwood would just cruise in 2nd gear and kick 6.
Enough said.
