    RWO - New management

Thanks again for all the messages of support etc. Thanks also to the RWO members who PMed me to offer their services or ask about the running of the site.

After careful consideration, I'm delighted to announce that there will be a change in management effective as of next week. Coming off the interchange bench will be a new consortium comprised of ScottH and Frog, who both have extensive technical backgrounds. Scott also has extended service on the RWO staff, and I am confident that they will both bring RWO to new and exciting levels that the current establishment hasn't been bothered reaching for in the last couple of years.

It's been a great ride. All the way from early '98 with the sydneyswans mailing list (first when it was onelist.com, then yahoogroups.com) that Anniswan set up. That core group of fans formed the bulk of the RWO crowd in the first year we were in business (2001), so I'd like to acknowledge Ann's contribution as well.

Thanks also to Steve Daley (if he's still floating around) for being RWO's co-founder, back in 2001... Along with all the people who have helped out behind the scenes in one way or another

So this weekend at Kardinia Park will be my 139th and last H&A/Finals match in charge. Here's to the next chapter!

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

Thanks Des, dont know what I would do without my daily hit and bagging I get. Keeps me sane. Bit disappointed though that you didn't make special mention of my magnificent and incisive posts.

You are obviously volunteering to take it on next year.

OT, carry on, business as usual. No changes to the current structure or make up of RWO in the near future. We're just here to help.

Frog and I look forward to the challenge of keeping this place, a place to be seen.

Any suggestions or ideas (realistic ones) will be gladly listened to.
Whether we do them is another thing.

And finally thanks Des for the work he has put in over the years and for his refereeing on certain bouts along the way. Enjoy your leisure time.

Can we have the rolleyes smilie back?

Thank you in anticipation of the continuance of this wonderful forum.

Thank you Des for all you have done for this place.

Well being a newcomer to this site I`d like to thank all the original gang members for getting this forum up and keeping it going. I only stumbled on here by googleing (Sydney Swans Chat Forum) a couple of months ago and I`m so glad I did. Before that I was just a lonely Swannie supporter here in Perth screaming in front of the tele. Now at least I`ve got other fans to scream with.

    All the best Des........
