    So..All Australian Team Announced Tonight

    Which Swans will be in?

    Definate:
Goodes -nothing more needs to be said

    Likely:
Hall - Didnt have the best final month of the H & A which could hinder him.
O'Keefe - Will they reward him for 2 very good years?
C Bolton -Most underrated defender in the league with Clement. Wouldn't be suprised if he makes it at all.

    Long Shot:
J Bolton - Bench if he were to make it but really fizzled in the 2nd half of the season.

Jolly has been a standout this season but I doubt he'll make it. They'll give it to Cox.

    Goodes is a certainty.

I reckon Hall has been better than Pavlich and Riewoldt, so I think he'll get in.

O'Keefe or Craig Bolton will make it. I don't think both will get in.

Goodes for sure ... but at what position? I think they have 18 to choose from ... not including the bench!!

As much as I hate to say this (my blood is going cold at the thought), but I think Fevola and his banana boots might get the FF, and Hall will be named CHF.

    Whaddya reckon?

Totally forgot about Big Jolls. Probably would be the 4th ruckman picked behind Lade, Simmons and Cox.

I'll wait for the BigFooty leak.

    IMO:
Goodes definite - should be on the wing but they'll probably put him in at HF to squeeze in more midfielders.
    Hall maybe but probably not.
ROK maybe and a better chance than Hall.
    B1 & B2 very very unlikely.
Anyone else - no chance in hell.

So Carlton will get more players than the Swans? Has Connelly been eating those strange mushrooms again?

I think Goodes and Craig Bolton will get starts for Sydney with Hall and O'Keefe possibles - Hall for the forward pocket and O'Keefe for the bench.

Fevola will make it on the fact that he is the Colman medallist, but hopefully the selectors looks beyond and take into account the fact he kicked that many goals because no one else in the Carlton forward line was capable of getting the ball.

I would take Baz in my forward line any day.

IMHO only Goodes will make it. Hall won't make it as Fevola will be FF and CHF will be Lucas or Riewoldt - they've had outstanding seasons and not had as many quiet games as Hall. ROK might be an outside chance, but don't think we will see anyone else in there.

Remember that AA is not about a team of the best players in the comp, its about picking the best performed players for the season.

Yeah, Barry Hall is no chance for AA based on previous year's selection policies. Lucas will get CHF, and Riewoldt the other tall forward spot. It's not about picking a team to play Mars . . .

Craig Bolton is one who fits the type - an unsung player whose curve has been rising these last few years. They could potentially pick him anywhere in the back 6.

I think that Goodesy may be our only selection - I think Hall will be overlooked for Pavlich and/or Riewoldt. Fevola deserves the full forward spot. Barry may get on the I/C?

I think C-Bolt is so under-rated that he will also be overlooked, much as Leo Barry was a few years ago. And I think ROK probably hasnt kicked enough goals this year (27) - I think the selection panel will get caught up in stats and the late season form of players such as Farmer (52 goals) or the hype of Gary Ablett Jnr. I hope not as his work effort deserves to be rewarded.

If Carlton end up with more selections than us it will be because we have a more even team...where the forwards, midfield etc have shared the load, and they have two players and thats all (Fev, Whitnall)

As a minor point, if the Swans website is accurate - Barry Hall now has 494 career goals - 422 at the end of 2005, plus 72 for this year...so there is something to acknowledge coming up!!!

Maybe a lazy 5 in the pre-lim....and the opening goal of the GF.
