If it wasn't an issue with Flipper, I don't see why it should be an issue with Jack. He's not afraid to get stuck in either.

Perhaps they regarded the game as equivalent to a normal half game due to the blowout!

Anyone know what happened to Doyle? I noticed he wasn't out there during the 1st quarter so I looked towards the bench and there he was icing his ankle! I'm sure he didn't play a single second so did he injure himself in the warmup.
Simpkin was funny. He couldn't buy one and kept missing in the same spot, just to the right of the sticks.

I said when they redrafted Davis that he must have got hold of the negatives that various spazzes have used to over the years to keep their spot. Nothing he did today changed that view.

As for Doyle, I arrived at the 6 minute mark. Looked around and said to my mate, "No Doyle?" He said "Yeah, saw him out there, I'm sure" So it appears something happened real early, but my mate missed it.

He may be on the small size height wise, but he's built like a brick outhouse. He fair dinkum steamrolls them when they try to tackle him.

Doyle was sitting in the Ladies Stand, so must have been injured early on.

White looked good, but with so many players taking their turn at shooting on goal, he had to share the limelight with many others. He also had a turn at playing in defence - which was a pretty pointless exercise yesterday.

One thing that did impress me was his timing on the lead. Once he was running full pelt towards the ball but slowed the lead to make sure he could take the ball in his hands in front of his face with ease, rather than running under the contest.

And he is a pretty good set shot for goal.

Physically he invokes memories of Ryan Fitzgerald, or perhaps that's just because they both have the same number. I thought he was a bit frustrated in defence yesterday, I think he was itching to go up forward and push a few defenders around.

Can hardly blame him! Would have been bored out of his brain down there.
