Ugg will be sending the scores after each qtr.
"As everyone knows our style of football is defensive and unattractive, and as such I have completely forgotten how to mark or kick over the years" - Brett Kirk
Belco made it a contest for 3 qtrs last time they played. Bigger, harder bodies. Hope it is tight to the end.
MADNow this is a thread that i would expect on the ego -centric, wank session that is redandwhiteonline.com...

It was actually a pretty good game, Belconnen gave them a good shake for the first 3/4. DOK looks the goods. White is huge, I guess needs to build up the engine before the seniors so maybe not this year. Flipper looked good. Buchanan didn't stand out.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time
Goals: Brennan 3 Phillips 3 Vogels 3 Buchanan 3 Beckmans 3 Jack 2 Brabazon M.Davis Simpkin
Yes a good hit out for 3 quarters. Belconnen were good with their defensive pressure and used the ball pretty well. Also aided by some Swans turnovers in defence and some 50m penalties leading to easy goals. Then the Swannies just powered away with their superior fitness.
- Interesting move to play an inexperienced ruck duo of White and Currie.
- Buchanan got a fair bit of it, and I think tried way too hard. Constantly tried to take on tacklers, and was pinged about 50% of the time. I don't think he was happy to be playing in the 2's. In the 4th quarter when he had a set shot, dummied around the man on the mark and blazed away. Very Un-Swans like. I don't think the coaching staff would be too pleased about that.
- LRT took some strong marks again, but as per usual looked lost with the ball.
- Brennan was very good, leads well, quite pacy and well-built. Kicked much better than I've seen previously.

I think Ugg has hit it on the head - in many ways he was clearly above the rest of them out there but did look like he was trying to do too much at times. On occasions you could see his frustration when attempted one-twos that would be bread and butter at senior level didn't quite come off because his team mate didn't know what he was trying. But some of his work in the centre square was good.
It was one of those games where I don't think anyone really stood out. Flipper took a couple of excellent overhead marks in the forward line but his kicking wasn't quite on song. Vogels marked well and converted reasonably. Grundy played the whole game in defence - a good game to give him the opportunity - and while he wasn't great, I was impressed with the precision of his field kicking when bringing it out.
Jack had a few excellent moments without really imposing himself. Some of Currie's ruckwork was good but he didn't do a whole lot around the ground. LRT was pretty solid I thought. DOK - couple of nice touches but really still working his way into things.
On the negative side, I thought Moore was pretty ordinary this morning - including one square up kick from the defensive pocket to the hotspot in front of the Belconnen goals which went nowhere near his team mate and gave a Magpie an uncontested mark.
From my count, there were only 16 listed Swans out there, which was odd given Doyle, Rowe, Faulks (and Laidlaw) all sat the game out. Did anyone else do a count? Did I miss a couple?
Half agree with you. One of his goals was a very nice kick off the boot but he was still prone to "doing a Jude" too often - ie just pumping the ball forward aimlessly, usually to a defender. And at least Jude has the excuse of often being under pressure.(Brennan) Kicked much better than I've seen previously.
