Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.
Started the season pretty well, gaining NAB rising star nomination. But faded later in the season.

Improved his pace and disposal quite significantly during the year..looks like a stayer for years! And when he tackles they stay tackled!
Watching players like Jack develop is one of the most rewarding aspects of following football. If you realise where he came from - the last player selected by the Swans in his draft year (the ones nominally after him were priority selections), undersized and slightly scrappy skilled player in his first year playing mostly out of a back pocket and with pace his only obvious weapon - where he got to in 2007 was no mean achievement. Sure, he had the genetic pedigree but still a very impressive development curve.
8 out of 10 from me, based on what I expected from him at the start of the year.
7/10
After being unfairly treated by the AFL and media because of a couple of $5 bets he placed at the TAB, Jack is now getting attention for all the right reasons.
His stats have improved from the 2 games he played last year with disposals (average 12.4 in 2008 vs. avg 9.0 in 2007), marks (3.0 vs. 2.0) and tackles (4.0 vs. 2.0) up from last year, kicked his 1st goal and played in every game this year except for Round 20.
His strengths have been his tagging role in the midfield with his job on Kerr in Round 4 earning him a Rising Star Nomination, and of course his tackling pressure as shown with 5 tackles on 3 occasions, 6 tackles twice, 7 tackles twice and 9 tackles twice, as well as 91 tackles for 2008 (the most for any player eligible for Rising Star).
He's been fairly consistent in possessions but can be improved. He's had several outstanding games against West Coast, St. Kilda, North Melbourne, Brisbane and Western Bulldogs but he gives away too many free kicks (15 for vs. 33 against) including 6 against Essendon, and he also had a couple of shocking performances against Hawthorn and Melbourne.
He needs to be more consistent in the tagging role, winning possession and not give away free kicks aplenty.
I only support one team: The SYDNEY SWANS!!!!!
8 from me.
He is the heir apparent to Kirky IMO and will become a tackle machine and will be great if he develops into The Extractomator.
His enthusiasm is contagious - love his big smile.

Fantastic effort by Crackers.
Finally look like we have unearthed a kid that can play 200 odd games.
Needs to back it up and improve again and hopefully win a bit more of the footy himself. Live his tenacity at the footy and man .

Started well, and finished well. I have high hopes for KJ, my tip for most improved next year.

8 from me. Faded a bit towards the end of the year but a great first year overall. Has a tackle that would flatten a bulldozer and is already developing into an excellent tagger. That job he did on Kerr was absolute top notch.

Really found his feet after a taste of the big league in 2007. I still question though whether or not he has the ability to go beyond this current level or if he'll just be yet another tagger (albeit an effective one).
