Gosh, seems like one man Ruck again. If we were planning to use two, then Searby would get plenty of game time in the 1sts!
Feeling sorry for the Mummy already - doesn't sound too flash a plan against Hille and Ryder.
Presumably Pyke slots straight in for Seaby - any other changes to the 22 forecast?

Everyone won't win and the teams chances of winning is diminished if "CCC" Bevan remains in the starting 22. (courage, clangers and crook goalkicking). Bevans DNA will not change (according to Roos anyway) and I have long been of the opinion that his clangers and crook goalkicking cause far more damage than his courage is worth.

In before 'no TDL outrage'
Not quick enough to get in before the first 'Bevan is rubbish' post though.

Pyke in for Seaby....a bit odd, Seaby did pretty well in the short time he had on the field. Don't run with the...."he needs to go to the 2's for match fitness". He could be on the bench and playing 50- 60%, sharing the load with Mummy.
He is certainly a more dangerous forward, and better around the ground, than Pyke. At this stage Pyke rucks well, but that's about it. But seeing as he's in, I hope he's in the 21 and not the sub.
The out I'd like to see would be Bevan out...Bird or Meredith in as a sub.
I get the feeling the coaches really like what they see in Parker, maybe not this week, but it won't be long before he gets a run...Looking forward to seeing that, he's a hardnut with skill.

I hope Bevo plays another really good game like his last visit to ANZ at the end of last year - he was very handy that day....
I can see the ruck-forward setup will be a dilemma every week. Pyke's a better ruckman than WHite, White's a better forward. Reid and White are line ball as tall forwards (at least for now). Up against the two quality Essendon rucksm I'd probably go with Pyke, who can help out in defence when Ryder or Hille go forward.
Bird into the 21 for Sumner I guess. Not really excited about Meredith based on his pre-season showing.
Agree with you Ernie, can't wait to see Parker in action.
The man who laughs has not yet heard the terrible news
Move smith back, bevan out, parker in. Maybe Rohan the sub this time?
