Just some tidbits coming out ahead off the official release for the 2012 schedule.
It seems like a stand alone season opener vs GWS, and two games vs GWS

And Adelaide have been practically gifted 16 competition points with two games each against GWS and Port
I wouldn't count the 8 points v Port as a given if I was an Adelaide fan. And they'll play GWS twice so the AFL can attempt to drum up some sort of interest in GWS's existence thru the Chocko Williams connection.
It's going to be quite entertaining reading and hearing the claptrap that's going to spew forth from the AFL regarding GWS and their attempts to garner some sort of interest in the team through pretend rivalries and made-up controversies. Let's see who gets sucked in to it all......
I'll be interested to see how GWS' draw works out, I must admit I didn't go too heavily through GC's draw for their first season but I wonder if the AFL will make sure that, apart from the Swans, GWS only play 2 games against teams from the bottom 9 of last season.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time
As usual, Collingwood is favoured in the draw. No trip to Perth for Eddie's boys.
Our Collingwood home game is in Round 20 (only 2 weeks after they come to Sydney to play the Giants), instead of the usual Round 14(ish?) after the (old) bye, and we finish the season with the Kangaroos in the final round at home.

Sorry read that wrongly, Kangaroos play GWS in the last round.
