All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing. - Edmund Burke
Kirky is going to Freo as an assistant coach. I know there will be many reasons for Kirky choosing to go to another club but I can't help feeling sad.
No more sun in the eyes during morning meditation at the beach.
Not sure he has the best footy brain, but will be a good influence nonetheless. Good Luck Kirky, hope you have a successful coaching career.
Rossy Lyon was Kirky's mid coach in 05/06, I'm sure they have a good relationship. Great get for Freo. Hopefully Kirky spends a few years learning the caper in different environments before returning to us. Would make a great development coach before becoming an assistant I reckon.

Oh Brett, how could you? Now you will have to wear purple!
Good luck to Kirky - he's a fine man and we're lucky he played for us. He'll only be good for Freo and Kudos for Ross Lyon for getting him. Hopefully he comes back to us one day but it'll be good to see how he goes whilst he's away...
Good Luck Kirk. Our prayers are with you
During that period Rossy's favourite Swans was tricky Nicky, one can only dream about the pairing of Kirky and Davo competing assistant coaches! Pre-season'd be like Bugs and Daffy!"

"Skills season! Shoot!"
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time
I reckon Ross is one of the hardest men in the game (he was an old Royboy after all).
No way he would be hiring Kirky if he didn't think he was going to be able to do exactly what Roscoe wants. Neither Lyons nor I agree with you about the 'footy brain',but I'm with you on the 'good luck Kirky!'
You'd think Kirk would be an excellent coach. Great empathy and interpersonal skills and has everyone's respect. The fact that he had such a stellar career on such limited talented suggests he has a pretty big footy brain as well as a big heart.
As long as he can stand living among the rednecks in Perth he should be a success.
