Smart move leaving Tippett out. Schoenmakers played on him in the Adelaide final last year. Why give Lake an opportunity to work him out. Hawthorn want to win and we want to lose. So all should work out well.

Good to see Morton getting a final? game or could he hold his place.

    Cheers

Resting Tippett makes sense for this meaningless game if he has even a Skerrit of soreness. Not sure about the merits of Morton as a sub but I guess the barrel is bare.

Might be fun to see how Rohan, Harry and BJ work in tandem. Shame Jetta's not available to join them.

Presumably we'll see Pyke plonked in the goal square for most of the match.

Is there actually another team playing? I mean C7 have just mentioned Hawthorn, Hawthorn, Hawthorn...

Very happy with the pressure and tackling. Hawthorn have obviously been told to lay back a little and we are capitalising. Still feels that the class of Hawks' forward line will tell out in the end

Half time and we're still 9 points in front; not what I expected.
We're playing (generally) good football, doing stuff we did against Collingwood in round 9 such as positioning ourselves to receive and play on, putting together a chain of passes that ends in a kick to a leading forward or at least to an inside 50 contest. Still a bit rusty in spots but much improved on last week's insipid effort.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Much better. Regardless of what happens from here, I have renewed hope.

I think Buddy may be in strife with the review panel. Does he have carryover points?

Gary Lyon reckons Buddy is under a lot of pressure for head high bump on Eski especially the after the ball had long gone.
