NEAFL 2014 Round 2
UWS Giants v Sydney Swans Reserves
Game being streamed live: UWS Giants v Sydney Swans Reserves - LIVE - YouTube
Sunday 6th April 2014 9.30am
Spotless Stadium
The Reserves travel to Spotless Stadium for the 2nd time in 3 games, looking to avenge the loss they suffered at the hands of the young Giants in their practice match. They will be buoyed by their excellent showing in Brisbane, easily defeating the reigning NEAFL premiers the Brisbane Lions Reserves by a comfortable 54 points.
The Giants had a tough first up assignment traveling to Darwin to face the dangerous NT Thunder and walked away with a respectable 26 point loss. With further injuries to their senior squad this week, the Giants will field as strong a team as they did 3 weeks ago.

In:
Out: Jeremy LAIDLER (seniors)
The defensive unit excelled last week against the Lions, holding Brisbane goalless in 3 of the 4 quarters. The back six will lose the
experience of Laidler.
Key inside midfielders Robinson, Lloyd and Marsh all had 30+ possessions and racked up 21 of the Swans' 45 clearances. They will need to repeat that kind of performance against the highly regarded young Giants midfield who were the dominant unit in our last meeting.
Jack hasn't hit the scoreboard in either of the 2 games so far but was still heavily involved in the Swans' attack with 22 touches and 8 inside 50s. Towers also had a strong game as a leading forward, but was inaccurate in only converting 1 of his 4 shots at goal
