NEAFL 2014 Round 14
Ainslie Tricolours v Sydney Swans Reserves
Sunday 6th July 2014
12.00pm
North Dalton Park, Wollongong
Ainslie are the best performing non-AFL reserves Eastern Conference team this year, but their inability to defeat a Northern Conference team has them in a tight struggle for a Top 6 spot.
After last week's defeat to the Giants, the Swans are barely hanging on to the top spot thanks to a miniscule difference in their percentage and will not want to lose two in a row to give up their advantageous position of a Top 2 finish.

Changes
In: Derickx, Marsh, Richards
Out: Aliir ALIIR (shoulder)
Hewett has flown over to Perth as detailed on the Swans website while earlier in the week Horse said that Derickx would be flying over too. Since both the seniors and reserves are playing on Sunday it is very unlikely that Hewett and Derickx would fly back for the reserves game (not to mention a drive down to Wollongong). Unsure about whether Rohan flew over too. I would think he would need the game time in the middle.

Out: Sean ELLIS, Jeremy HIRST, Nick PAINE, Mitch WARD (all injured)
Losing Paine and Ellis are significant outs for Ainslie as they are the Tricolours' 2nd and 3rd leading goalkicker respectively this season. Former Port Adelaide player Nick Salter is their leading goalkicker with 30 and looms as the danger man to watch for the Reserves defence. Young gun Aaron Vandenberg equals our own Daniel Robinson as the leader in the NEAFL disposal count and must be closely watched whilst Mitch Mulroney is the clearly the competition's leading hitout winner (averaging 38 a game) and will provide stiff competition for our own ruck division.
