Tramway Oval? Is that another name for Bus Loop or Bus Stop Oval?
Good strong opposition is what you want and what we should get. Do I understand correctly that Uni are loading up with ex Academy players, Ugg?
No I don't think so, unless you count Brandon Jack as ex Academy. Uni also signed Shaun Edwards and Craig Bird.
The ex Academy players I've seen signed up have mostly gone to Canberra - Angus Baker, Jarrod Osborne, Harry Carr, Luke Robertson.
Will Gowers has gone to Aspley.
Might as well mention it here, a few days ago Nick Malceski was appointed the Suns NEAFL coach. With Schneider the GIANTS NEAFL coach and Laidler/Kennelly coaching our team, there's going to be quite the rivalry going on in the coaches' box.
Do you know if Buchanan is still involved with the Giants too?
(And, slightly tangentially, is Schmidt still coaching the Giants' AFLW team? - that might be a question for Meg).
Tim Schmidt only coached the first year of GWS AFLW.
GIANTS Director of Coaching Alan McConnell will take up the reins as Head Coach of the clubs AFL Womens side for 2018.
The appointment continues the collaboration between the GIANTS mens and womens programs with McConnell to be intrinsically involved in both football departments across their respective seasons.
McConnell replaces inaugural GIANTS AFLW Head Coach Tim Schmidt who has stepped away from the role to focus on an expanded role within AFL NSW/ACTs talent programs in addition to his own kicking academy program.

"Do you know if Buchanan is still involved with the Giants too?"
From GWS Site:
"Former Sydney Swans and Brisbane Lions player Amon Buchanan was appointed a Development Coach at the GIANTS at the end of 2013.
He has since moved into the role of a line coach, initially taking responsibility for the forwards group before taking charge of stoppages for the 2018 season onwards."
