With regards to your last sentence, yes when Parker made contact, the ball wasn't close by. However, when I watched the footage last night on one of the footy shows, (Talking Footy or Footy Classified), when Parker goes to block, the ball is on the ground nearby and is kicked away by a Swans player.
I think 4 weeks is a more appropriate penalty.
Team for the match against the Northern Bullants, which takes place at Tramway Oval at the mystifying time of 12.05pm. Should be a win, but we have fielded stronger VFL sides.
Essentially, McAndrew returns from his concussion and obviously Parker is out. Plus there's a bit of shuffling of the VFL listed players.

We handed the Bullants one of their only two wins last year (their other victory was against the winless Coburg), so I wouldn't be expecting a win just yet.I know Roberts hasn't been named, but I wonder if they could sneak him in after a quick flight up this morning since he only played about 10 minutes last night.
Sounds like he was running laps after the game finished last night, which suggests they weren't intending to put him on a plane back to Sydney.
I had some spare time to watch the live stream today. A pretty good win in the end. Stand-outs seemed to be Cleary, Shipley, Edwards. 3 goals each to Hamling and Moi Moi, a couple to Konstanty. Good contributions from Magor, Mitchell, Vickery and Bartholomaeus too.
One major downside, Sheldrick went down in the first 5 minutes with what looked like a left ankle injury and seemed to be in agony for a couple of minutes before being helped off.
I managed to see the second half. It was good to see that Cleary is capable of racking them up at VFL level. His kicking has also seemed to have improved. Which suggests that he would handle a call up, if a spot became available.
I thought he was assisted by some useful tap work from McAndrew. Green also had a strong game and looked like he was enjoying competing against his brother.
The highlight for me was Mitchell's Chad impersonation, where he took on an opponent at pace, got through the tackle despite being half dacked, then goaled from about 50.
Thanks, I was wondering what happened to Sheldrick. He has had real bad luck in his career so far but has a real bright future.
I think our midfield is in good hands for the future. Sheldrick has the goods and Cleary racking up 39 touches for a 18 year old was quite impressive.
I am finding it confusing how not many people on this forum have been rating Cleary?
Is there a Gus bias ?

Re. Cleary - I watched him closely (on the stream :-)) and I thought his work in close was very clean, his tackling and second efforts are first class and his 50m goal was delightful. But where he is exceptional is his ability to cover ground - his workrate is Gulden-like. It's possible he isn't getting much attention from fans because he isn't flashy. No 50m thread the needle passes, no lightning quick 3-bounce runs, no spectacular high marks. But very good at what he does, and potential to be at least a good AFL player.
