McLean (concussion?) & Hanily (foot) off injured at half time and Essendon pushing hard, should be a cracking last quarter.
That’s a shame for McLean, while I am not a big fan, he certainly offers depth to the team and next week would have been ideal for him to show something. With Green doing a good supporting role to Grundy, and Armartey returning from injury it is going to be difficult for him.

We host a wildcard final against Frankston. Not sure where and when. If we win that, we then travel to play an elimination final against Port Melbourne.

Who knows, buddy. We are threadbare at best so let’s hope the “mess” gets cleared up very soon and none of our seniors get suspended.
            Wondering about McLean’s fitness?

Yes. We will have top ups if we don't have enough listed players, like every other week.

It may not be a very good team, but alas such is life.

Team for the wildcard final against Frankston, which takes place at Blacktown tomorrow at 11.05. We're down to six AFL listed players. Though it's sort of nice that Pignatelli and Morahan get a go.

                INT: B. Pignatelli (62), L. Giacometti (51), N. Andreacchio (67), J. Longmire (56), K. Harbour (66)

                IN: N. Andreacchio, H. Cameron, H. Meaney, W. Morahan, B. Pignatelli
OUT: C. Cleary, H. Cunningham, T. Hanily, A. Sheldrick (AFL), H. McLean (concussion)

Fantastic first quarter by the Swans. The way they mobbed Warner after his goal shows they know this must have been a particularly tough week for him.

The most impressive stanza for me was the sequence of tackles laid just outside our forward 50 towards the very end of that first quarter, even though it didn't result in a major score.

And another strong quarter, albeit the game feels quite balanced around the ground.

Sutton has had a mightily impressive first half, and that's before taking into account his four goals.

Excellent effort to increase our lead, after Frankston looked to be making a comeback. I'm enjoying Frankston players being set upon, pretty well every time they get the ball.

Warner looks very motivated. Sutton has been excellent. Harrison looks to be enjoying his chance as an inside mid. Giacometti has had some nice touches. Bowman and Snell have been pretty assured in defence. Actually, everyone has done some good things.

Yes, I've been loving the tackling pressure.

Plenty of spirit being shown by our boys!!

Great to see at any time but especially after the week we've had.

                              GO BLOODS!!

Yes, about ten minutes into that quarter, Frankston started to look totally rattled. Which I think demonstrated how good our pressure has been.
