I went to the game and Rosas was bloody awful. He clearly doesn't like body contact. He jumped around like a cat on a hot tin roof. Clifton is only 18 but shows a bit. Worth a rookie spot. McLean appeared to play most of the game up forward, probably because they wanted to keep him from getting injured.

are there any of the vfl listed players worthy as a rookie for 2027. like clifton who i notiuced get hit outs in some games or harrison who seemed to get one of the best in a number of games and sutton perhaps
Podmore taylor who rucked early in the season and then was not in team for some time maybe inhured. and perhaps ryan ruck and fwd.

Probably not because I see they have given Ladhams a contract extension

Sutton has definitely had a strong season for our VFL team. I wouldn't be surprised if he is looked at by our club or others - although we might not have the list space depending on other decision making. But he has been good all year.

Jake Sutton was amongst our best for the 4th week in a row. A Big body midfielder that can go forward is exactly what we need. I hope they dont think he is too old at 24 years.

The umpiring was so biased it made it difficult to wa tch. The Victorian town based standard as usual. It may no difference to the result but they had to be sure. Bowman played his best game for the Swans. M Rosa had 8 touches and gave away a couple of handballs to Port Melbourne. Gold Coast can have him back.

Yes - it looks like Bowman may have a future after all - what I saw of the game, he was good.

-my comments re ruck selection had nothing to do with hoiw green played in the seniors, just the fact in the wildcard game we were overwhleme in the ruck and port has a coupol of good rucks as can be seen by the stats which shows thet dominated around the ground.

Season over for the VFL boys. Much more promising than in past years and there appears to be some young talent exposed to the next level. Well done, Nick Malcheski in doing a great job. Sad it ended time this on the last quarter. Onwards and upwards to next season

Looks like Ned Bowman is having a big game. But Melican and Rosas are off the boil which is a worry and McLean is not hitting the marks or goals. Still in the game of we can get a couple of goals to get closer

Still in it, although I don't think we've ever been on top. Need to have a bit more composure when entering the forward 50. Surprised that the stats have us winning the free kick count 18-12, as I don't think that we've been fully rewarded for our tackling pressure, where we are in front in the tackle count, 53-28.
