Pav said as little as you'd expect, except to confirm and investigation is underway and club was 'shocked and disappointed that players have found themselves in this situation.'
Which says there was an incident, but says nothing about the nature of it on the spectrum from dumb and dopey to criminal.Comment

Unbelievable but let’s wait until we know a little more. But in any case, how can our players put themselves in any potentially questionable situations? It beggars belief and Is totally irresponsible. I’m shocked and lost for words- thought we were better than this!!Comment

Same. Unbelievable that so-called professionals can put themselves into a situation which may be anything from outrageously stupid or abjectly criminal, and by so doing destroy the work of hundreds, the hopes of thousands and the investment of millions. As well as their own careers, and potentially the lives of the victims. Just gobsmacking.Comment

Mate, this is no joke- are the players involved really so stupid? They do a few stupid things on the field under pressure and in the heat of the moment- but off the field? There can be no excuse for being at best stupid, and at worst reckless and criminal behaviour. They are bringing shame on themselves and our beloved club!

Let's say it's at the dumb and dopey end of the scale. There are still a few blokes who'll be in the middle of relationship breakdowns and/or being kicked out of home. They won't be too focussed on the fine print of the game plan, and it'll haunt them every time they stick their head up publicly for years to come. Window-defining stuff.Comment

I feel firstly for any victim in all of this if something bad has happened. I also feel for those players who are not involved as it casts them in a questionable shadow until more is disclosed (which could and should be a long time as this situation may take a long time to play out). A recent example is Tanner Bruhn from Geelong.
Hopefully the truth comes out and whatever the ramifications are then they will be felt for a while. As for the players involved they are innocent until proven otherwise. Justice needs to be able to take its course.
Needless to say as RoadRunner put it above, surely the message would have gone through all of their training that they receive from the club not to put themselves in compromising situations. If one person did it it can be a lapse in judgement. But a number of them?
Morris reported that the allegations "believed to be sensitive and potentially very damaging to star players". Note the "star players" plural. Hopefully this reporting is incorrect and never have I hoped more for a journalistic mistake to be made.
Disappointing to say the least - there are no winners out this. This will be a test for the club.Comment

This is surely the most challenging situation that we have faced over the years as a club. I hope that the victim is ok. But ‘Several players’ is what I find frustrating at many levels. And if it is ‘several star players’ I would find it incredibly distressing. Forget about this season, If this comes out to be even partially true it is going to rock the club for years !Comment

I don't have a Big Footy account, but quite often someone on Big Footy knows what happened and who was involved. I know it's only alleged, but the rumours usually turn out to be true. So If anyone has Big Footy access, could they check and post it here.
