if the club or police stand down players or confirm something, that’s different. Until then, it’s dangerous to do it.
I was speaking to a senior executive and some of these players were mentioned as possible players to be given a weeks rest against North. I hope that people do not read too much into this

I'm not livid at the Swans at all.....but definitely monumentally disappointed in the three players involved, if they have indeed done what is being alleged, whatever it is.

Sexual assault of any kind is inexcusable and abhorrent. If guilty, the three players should have no future at our club.....and the timing of such a crime (yes, alleged) could not be worse.

It truly beggars belief.....and of course foremost, I hope the victim is doing ok and is being supported by those close to her.

Hi team, discuss away but please avoid names. It's unnecessary. Pretty sure everyone has read the news or seen social media and knows which names have been mentioned.

As I said though, feel free to discuss the issue and implications - ideally through a football lens
Captain, I am detecting large quantities of win in this sector

Wanna be clear that I’m not referencing one of the five here, but feel sorry for poor Jai Serong who flew home on a later flight and was absolutely mugged by the media at the airport. Said nothing understandably but someone who has nothing to do with anything just got swamped.

Firstly it was a fight outside the hotel, then it was a sexual assault and now they are calling it a possession of an illicit drug (cocaine). Something is not right.

I was at work doing some online training about harassment in the workplace and then I check what's going on in the footy world and am hit by this bombshell.

First up, i hope the lady/ladies involved are going ok.

Secondly, monumentally stupid from a bunch of alleged professionals to put themselves in this position. There will be processes that need to be followed and we can only wait until they run their course until we can find out the damage this has caused the alleged victim(s), the club and the players involved.

Third, it is a massive test for Pavlich, Cox and the leadership of the Swans. We have proudly put our culture on show for many years - this is by far the biggest test of culture that we will have experienced as a club, possibly since 1981.

Fourth. Football. Well, it all feels a little bit superfluous at the moment.

They’ve ruined a season for their teammates, the club’s reputation and treated us fans like dirt. We should all be asking for answers from the club

It’s in the media’s interest to make this seem as huge as possible. I don’t discount anything but equally I am not going to catastrophise until such time as we have actual information.
My opinion is objective truth in its purest form

I have no idea what to think. That’s not really contributing anything, apart from offering that if you’re in a bit of a daze and don’t quite know what to think then you’re not alone.

I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

seems like a lot of media work. Caro names the 5 player on 7 (6.30 news). Hutch and gang on agenda setters pad it out with Morris displaying a time lime with some players arriving back at hotel and 2.30am. Another news service says one said he was not interviewed. My wifes brother in law heard it was a case of push and show "get out of our way) by one player. Other channels including Fox footy did not name the players. BUT the word SEX comes up in a lot of the cases reporting th fracas. Not sure SEX has naything to do with the case. Hopefully nothing will come of it.
The REAL problem is why did we satay overnight, surely the game finished earlier enough to fly to Sydney and arrive bb4 the curfew. An secondly how come the players were allowed to wander off th a night club (and some reports say drinking) Surely the instruction should have been relax at the Pulman and get a good nights rest b4 we fly home. Mgt seems also to have someting to anser here.

It feels like a nightmare at the moment and we have no idea what’s going on. I hope it gets cleared up very soon as this is looking so bad for our club. If the players were out until late- surely they didn’t need management to tell them that this is a no- no, especially before the finals. They are mature men with responsibilities to themselves, the club and us supporters. “Disappointing” is totally inadequate to express what I feel right now and just praying that the truth will not be as bad as what has been alleged.

I suspect it didn't finish early enough to arrive before curfew. Game ended at what 7.15 or so. With warm downs, after game stuff etc, they'd have been lucky to make it back to the hotel by 9pm at the earliest. Last flight to Sydney would be what 9.30 ish given curfew is 11.

I would suggest that they would not have arrived back at the hotel until around 10.30 given that the game did not end till after 8.00pm. By the time they do the usual on ground interviews etc and crowd interaction it would have been 8.30pm before they got to the rooms and did more interviews, met with family and friends etc in rooms, match reviews they would have been lucky to be on the bus back to the hotel by 10.30.

It doesn’t excuse the behaviour, however up and about at midnight is understandable.

Victorian media is having a field day sticking the boots into the enemy from the north.....being all very morally judgy and questioning the clubs famed culture.

Having said that, something has happened that needs investigation......hopefully it's a storm in a teacup but no doubt it has tainted the clubs reputation. I just hope the Vic police are professional with their investigation and act with unbiased integrity because we really have to get to the bottom of this.

Very frustrating that among the five players that have been mentioned, four are among our absolute best. What is to come from here will test our clubs 'culture' to the limit. I sincerely hope we can come through it successfully.....on and off the field.

Its shows how many nasty people they are out there. Going through X social and many claiming they are Swans supporters (Though I have been following X threads for years and never seen them post anything about the Swans ) are calling for their heads and they should be banned for life. All these vulgar comments and none of them known the full story.
