We won't have this problem next year (Origin 3 is played in Melbourne) so perhaps it was a one-off, but the standard of the ground was @@@@house. Bolton could have done a knee when he slammed into the turf and it had no give in it.
Certainly didn't help our performance, but no, it had little to do with the outcome. Let's face it, Collingwood's pathetic kicking for goal in the first half was the only reason we didn't lose by 100.
What the @@@@ was that?

the condition of the field was absolutely disgraceful last night. A couple of spots were appaling (Just to the right of the interchange benches and about 20 metres in was like abog with players falling over again and again). I dont mind the stadium to watch footy at, but if we are going to play there imo we should be demanding a far better surface then that rubbish we played on last night. Perhaps all the codes should work together so that the big matches can have a proper clear space before them so the ground can properly recover.Leave a comment:

I've just noticed a distinct lack of '@@@@ off Kirky' threads in recent months.
ANZ Stadium, like you said, isn't a footy ground. Good to see we can get 60,000 to the game, but with the @@@@e state of the grass I don't know why the AFL persists with it.Leave a comment:
