Not unlike some dill pickle in the media to get it wrong but the papers are saying he wants to get out of the last year of his contract which is next year.
Conspiracy theory: Swans dreamt up ROK and BBH leaving to draw a bit of publicity.

Never is a bloody long time. Mundine might be checking his reg grundys if baz offered to fight him. But boxing is a different sport, a different type of fitness and discipline, it would take time to adjust. Baz still has some good footy left in him and fighters just go on and on and on and on. How old is George Foreman?

Yep Annie, great photo, but doesn't Goodesy look a little - anxious?
I agree we don't have anybody near good enough to step up for Hall. But we are going to have a whole year of Danny Green and the whole boxing schtick. It's going to be a real brain-snapping distraction.Leave a comment:

I'm sure the likes of Bulldog, Vespa and even MOL would prefer to have him alongside them this season. They stand that little bit taller when their guardian is about.
That can only help the team, surely?Leave a comment:

i agree it is ridiculous to shuffle good players out "to give the kids a run"
in the case of Hall though, he is such a problem child that this needs to be factored in. so he can go NOW for nothing IMO
if we have to go to the bottom, so be itLeave a comment:

it will never happen because they are very different weight categoriesLeave a comment:

Thank you so much liz I am so sick of people saying they want us to play kids and go to the bottom of the ladder i HATE seeing the swans loose and years of rebulding from the bottom would break my heart.Because we don't have anyone else who looks remotely ready to step in and play his role.
Because if Grundy or White or anyone else is going to get extended opportunities up forward, they are better off doing so alongside Hall and getting the 3rd or so defender, not the first, while they get more experience.
Because we don't need Hall to actually lead us to the 2009 flag for him to beimportant - we have Kirk for that.
And because when Hall is on song and barging his way through packs, it is immensely fun to watch. And ultimately - for me anyway - watching the Swans is all about it being fun.
Lets keep on winningLeave a comment:

More Barry talk, this time from Roos and an interesting take from Danny Green which suggests he knows he may have to wait another 12 months
"He still has a year to run on his (AFL) contract and he has to work out if it is worth his while."
Green admitted the prospect of having to pay the Swans compensation for breaking his contract could be a deterrent for Hall putting on the gloves.
"We are professionals and we know that and we are going to do everything by the book," Green said."

Having Hall up forward next year will mean our chances of having a decent year increase but it would be better for the club going forward if he gave it away. We really need to start giving some younger players a go.
He isn't going to lead us to a flag in 09 so why bother.Leave a comment:

If he does play next season i hope his last career game (very dangerous proposition for opponents) is against Carlton and he deals with the crims at Vizy Park (FFS) in the last ten minutes of the match (in alphabetical order).I wouldn't suggest an opponent upsets him when he comes to play his final game, whether that be Rd 22, 6 goals down in a final or anytime during the GF.
With nothing to lose and plenty to gain from the view of more 'notoriety', he may decide to start sparring sessions right there and then
