It says he wont sign a new contract and that he signed a three year contract in 2006 meaning he retires at the end of this coming season. Well worded to seem otherwise I think.

The article say "it is understood" that he will return in two weeks. Which really means that some journo who understands very little and has made very little effort to understand has included a throw-away line without attributing it to any factual source.

As per Nico's comment, there is little for us to get worried about. He is contracted for the coming season and it is almost impossible to believe that he won't see out that contract (unless some personal reasons intervened between now and the end of the year).

Geez there must have been a hell of alot behinds, rushed or kicked, scored if there was only one goal in all that time. Mind you that kind of scoring system suits our current agonisingly boring game plan.

Obviously there isnt alot happeneing in Irealnd at the moment, its cold, people dont get out much so they need to find news somehow, so they make it up to suit themselves.

However, I thinks its time for Kennelly to just say once and for all " I'm going at the end of (insert year here)" and leave it at that.
