I think there should be a clause in everyone's membership that if you don't attend games when
-they are at Homebush
-it is too cold
-it is too windy
-it is too far
-it is getting ominously cloudy
-it is on the other side of Cleveland St
-it is live on TV
-beer is expensive
-they don't have many selections of White Wine

that you don't get Grand Final tickets. You know it may rain on GF final day you know. Melbourne in September can be rather bleak,you realise.

PS:- Ps:- I realise Homebush has several glaring problems. But boycotting games there & leaving the TEAM in the lurch is an utter disgrace! You are a supporter through thick & thick regardless of where they play, are you not?

What a load of vitriolic rubbish. I've supported the Swans for 33 years (since 1976) through plenty of thick and plenty of thin. If you don't mind....I'll decide when, where and how I watch games.

OMG! This is genuinely tragic news & will be the biggest mistake since the club got rid of conditioning coach Dave Misson.

He was the first person at the club I really felt I respected, to the oint of being scared of him at times. I did something dumb & he rang me up on the phone and not only blasted me but threatened to tear up my membership. Needless to say I was as quiet as a mouse after that.

Yes it is tragic. Myles did an awful lot for his club.

Got the letter and responded....."Let me keep my platinum grade seat at the SCG and reliquish my seat at the ANZ wasteland (ie SCG games only membership)...Like all other grades can currently do. Some parity please!!" Seems this issue was hinted at in his letter. If others are in the same position
please write in.

Hot on the heels of the news that Baron-Hay and his marketing manager are leaving the club

OMG! This is genuinely tragic news & will be the biggest mistake since the club got rid of conditioning coach Dave Misson.

OK, he organised the membership strategy change himself. But that guy has seriously been not only the architect of the the 2005 Premiership but in my view has been the person who used common sense & a professional attitude to try and not only change a club with a serious cultural problem but turn it into a footy club after all. Under Baron-Hay we have seen the Club give members a vote, we have seen the club's constitution changed, we finally have a home & a social outlet for supporters & members to congregate at, we have seen problem individuals in the club's administration removed from office, we have seen a drastically better level of service from members of the membership staff when you call them with questions. A small membership stuff-up cannot change this.

The impression at the moment is that the club gives the impression of people on the verge of tearing what it created in its Premiership year apart, both on and off the field. On the field it might need it, but off the field, well I shudder to think what sort of Yes Man they will employ with MBH gone.

How many of you received a letter from Richard Colless this week apologising for membership stuff-ups? I got mine today. He is asking for comments from members about membership via the Feedback section of
Official AFL Website of the Sydney Swans Let's take this opportunity to give him some constructive suggestions.

Just about everybody who has met MBH agrees what a nice bloke he is. But in reality he was responsible for approving the changes to the membership prices. His resignation, plus the letter from the club indicates that either he saw the writing on the wall or has been given a less than gentle shove.

Spot on. It's more than a co-incidence that he's leaving in the wake of the membership/seating fiasco. It might have been the marketing manager's idea but he signed off on it.

Yes I received that too and it's appreciated.
I am definitely not of the view that it's too little too late. This is the club I love and I want them to be successful and get it right. They have a lot of ground to make it with many but this is an important first move.
I am going to take the opportunity to provide them with the feedback they are asking for and I will continue to support them.
I'm really glad to see Richard take lead as he has been very quiet!

Absolutely LK, Richard has been way too quiet.
I have not received a letter, I renewed my membership but I was in the lucky country up in the Noble Stand, so no great dramas, but I have been incensed by the treatment of far too many of our members. Perhaps I should put my thoughts to paper, unasked.
