With the exception of that errant handball that led to Hansen's goal, I thought Bevo had a very good last quarter.

Most players give their all. Some have more to give than others. If a player has had plenty of opportunites and just isn't cutting it, then it's time to give others a go.
Crouch at this stage of his career, which is actually his last year and the club at this stage of its team development should not bew playing Crouch or a player like him. He is and has been a negative stopper, rarely runs the lines, is an atrocious kick and can't mark overhead. If he was a creative player like Kirk, MOL or Big Beamish the arguement doesn't apply. I don't believe the club should have given contracts to Barry or Crouch. Crouch did his job well enough for a number of seasons. Now he is a selfish individual who plays injured and past it. He is keeping a young kid such as O'Dwyer or O'Keefe off the paddock and stopping them from showing their potential. I don't blame Crouch alone. Also blame the selectors and Roos.

He beat his opponents, he closed down their most dangerous goal kicker and we won. And we did this with Bevo putting in a solid effort with Big Beamish to come back. Its awful.

Might want to quote something if you're going to make such broad statements.

At 24 Bevo has plenty ahead of him and will become a leader as the old brigade vanish.
When you have to quote yourself to make your point you know you're in trouble. The first sentence is nonsense - literally making no sense.

What a strange mob we have become.
Exactly how many goals did Jones kick after Q2, Connolly?

You've sniped and rubbished your fair share.

i think bevan is an average player but he does his job. I probably like him forward though, i think his pressure is good, just a bit careless sometimes which is more costly in defence, eg stupid high arm yesterday.

Okay he makes mistakes (as do the rest of the team) but hes a tough player and I certainly want him to stay a Swans player.
Yes, two years ago posters we're saying negative things about McVeigh. At that time he was 22 and playing as a tagger - Most we're suggesting an attacking role would improve McVeigh's game's, as that plays to his strengths, and when he was 'let off the leash' last year, so to speak, those we're proved to be good calls. He was never a tagger.

Bevan however has been making the same mistakes year after year and has shown little improvement in other parts of his game to make up for the mistakes he makes. He is 25 now, not a "kid" Connolly,
