Someone has to be delisted. It hasn't happened before. A total of 4 will go one way or another. Following from previous years.

It would seem so, but of the out of contract players Daniel Robinson is probably the most likely, but he's had a great year and was even in the NEAFL team of the year. He looks a likely type. The size of an inside midfielder with the skills of an outside mid. He really knows how to find a goal.

As it stands now, with no delistings, we will only be able to use our first 2 picks, meaning something around pick #50 goes unused. Not a disaster.

These would be the two most likely to go IF we were to delist anyone further. Lockyer promised a bit early but was a bit disappointing for most of his time on the, although he seemed much improved by the end of this year. We were hearing good things about Brown this year and he seems to be a promising defender, and would deserve another year on the list. But this is a tough business and one or both could still be cut. Would be sad but that's the way it goes in this business sometimes....

Given the 3 retirements I'm sort of expecting we won't delist anyone except maybe one or two of the out of contact draftees. If we think we've got the ability to develop or trade for defenders over the next couple of years, I don't think we need to bring in more talent from the draft beyon Perris and two live picks.

And if Mumford or White goes we'll either get a pick or a player for them and still won't need to delist anyone.

I liked it that Jesse gave a bit back to Crowley. Surprised it was Jesse and not Mummy or one of the others, so maybe White has leadership qualities? We have lost Mattner, Morton and Bolton , now who will be de-listed?? Maybe Dick, Brown, lockyer, Everitt, Armstrong, Marsh or maybe a tap on the shoulder might to given to Shaw or LRT due to Injuries. What about rookies, Lylod, Naismith and Robinson? We will hold onto both Mummy and White? Many questions ahead.

It seems possible that no one will be delisted. Most are still under contract. All of the rookies played well. Lloyd and Robinson both made the NEAFL team of the year and look likely prospects, especially Lloyd. Of the seniors, Armstrong and Walsh seem most likely, but both are contracted for next year.

Very good! and it wasn't the only instance. Jesse has been standing up over the past weeks in similar incidents. I see it as a sign of confidence and a sense of belonging. It can do wonders for any player.

if that was directed at me i think you will note that i think he has been the best of our talls in the past 12 weeks. bar none. I rate jesse and i like what he brings to the game - enthusiasm, a strong kick, quick in a straight line, decent leap. his decision making can be flawed and is prone to errors but he is also doing everything we want at the moment. but (and there is always a but with him) i would like to see him keep at it for longer than 12 weeks. if he does he will become our most valuable tall bar none, because he will be the one dragging defenders to him and open it up for tippett and not the other way around.

i have high hopes for jesse i really do and dont want to see him traded. i think mummy has more currency anyway.

No, not directed at you, but rather several comments that feel the need to pick one or the other. I know that you rate Jesse highly and are one of the posters that have given him a fair go and appreciate what he's accomplished this year.
