I'm not really sure how this selection would work. I wonder if Reid or Aliir will take just the centre bounces and then McLean / Fox the rest?

Hayward can consider himself extremely lucky to be playing this week... it must be true about him being the coaches favorite!

It's baffling how McLean comes into the side after a couple of good, but not exceptional games, while Darcy Cameron couldn't a game last year even though he was the best player in the NEAFL.

It's sort of like the McInerney selection earlier this year when it just came out of the blue (almost). Just saying that others seemed more credentialed of the low credentialed lot. Anyway, looking forward to him proving he was worthy of selection.
Different circumstances from last year when making selections or non selection of Cameron, we're no longer capable of making the eight so the dice can be rolled, as it has with McLean, but the MC must have liked what they've seen from him recently.

Betting is fairly even, Freo just favourites.

Happy with those in's (and the two 'omissions').....and had a strange feeling about McLean but didn't have the guts to declare it here.

Stoddart was overdue, Fox has been solid in the two's and Clarke back in allows Hewitt freedom to influence the game more. McLean has been impressive in the two's and can clunk a mark. Will be good to see our structures back to more what they were like when we hit our winning patch.

Like the others above, I didn't see McLean coming. Which was because he's hardly been doing any rucking, rather than form. After his slow and injury hampered start to the season, his form has been increasingly on an upward trajectory, with his last game being his best for the club. Good luck to him.

The others were also deserved selections; especially Stoddart, who's been in excellent form. Looking forward to seeing if he can transfer that to the higher level.

Must be our youngest side since we were South Melbourne!

Wonder what they have in mind for McLean, maybe do the chop out ruck work so Reid can stay forward.

The four ins have been the best in the NEAFL so that's what I like to see, reward those performing. Ronke and Jack gave us nothing last week/s so has to be upside from their replacements. Clarke to tag Walters?

It's a debut for ....McLean! Considering he hasn't rucked in the last 2 weeks I don't think he's going to be taking over first ruck duties from Aliir?

    In: Clarke, Fox, McLean, Stoddart
Out: Cunningham (injured), Dawson (suspended), Jack (omitted), Ronke (omitted)

    Emg: Rose Ronke Jack Menzel

    Fyfe out !

I think they’ll bring someone else in to ruck, even if it’s Fox! Although I think Knoll more likely now.

Wonder why they’d keep player Kizza. Ronke goes Horses pet stays.

    OUT: Dawson, Cunningham, Ronke, Jack
    IN: Stoddart, Fox, Clarke, Knoll

How about we just play a fit team. We've seen the MC hesitant to make changes other than forced changes through injury and/or suspension.

    My predictions are
    Outs: Dawson (suspended), Cunningham (injured)
    Ins: Stoddart, Fox

If I was on the MC....

Outs: Dawson, Cunningham, Ronke, Hayward, Jack
Ins: Stoddart, Menzel, Clarke, Fox, Amartey

Ronke and Hayward are way down on form and are a liability. I have always liked Kieren as a player but father time has caught up.

I think we need a ruckman even though Sandliands could be out so Amartey gets the nod. He would be playing against a second ruckman and it would be good experience. Clarke to tag Fyfe as others have mentioned.

Last weeks selections made me think 'Swans are tanking' - we'll see what the MC throw up tonight.

They may still choose to bring in a ruckman so Aliir can go back to replace Dawson's recent role there, in which case Ronke would have to be the omission.

But who knows, the MC completely fail to do what we suggest and we have poor results as a consequence, they need to listen!
