And Lloyd gets another year. Well done to him.

Lloyd, who has played 292 AFL games, is a story of longevity and persistence having been drafted as a rookie back in 2012.

Which leaves four players with contracts ending this year: Amartey, Cunningham, Hamling and Rampe, plus the already retired Adams. Reasonable chance that Rampe retires at the end of the year, which probably leaves Cunningham and Hamling feeling a bit nervous. Though I wouldn't mind trading out a player or two for whatever picks we could get for them: Melican, Ladhams, maybe Amartey.

I would keep Armartey and trade McLean.

From what I hear Amartey is already out the door.

Id take Mclean as a permanent fwd on his contract over Amartey on what he is asking for or being offered

Calshear Deer might be a fwd option ?

            Midfield was in shambles.
Not sure what he is doing with Sheldrick.

We havent beaten a top 4 side of note, we are the easiest Top 8 side to transition against by far.
There is work to do and beating @@@@ teams doesnt make me anymore comfortable

Winning 15 games may seem spoilt but we have been absolutely embarrassed in GFs, im sorry if im not ready to watch us get smashed from the Midfield again.

There’s no doubt our midfield needs a bit of beefing up- when Isaac and Chad move forward against the top sides, we are significantly weakened and hence lose crucial clearances. Using Campbell there is part of the answer and some have suggested Mills. But I think he does his best work in defence now. So I’m hoping when Juzzy returns next week he will be fit enough for the finals to help out- I don’t know if anyone else has the tank or the skills needed at this stage.

Sheldrick needs to improve a lot as his form has been average. How about trying the Lizard in short spells?

No loss imho. The bloke can play, but he isn't worth anywhere near the $ others are willing to throw at him if reports are to be believed. And I'm increasingly confident that Logan is finally coming of age as a player too.

Only the usual guys need to live in there, Datoli, BC, Liz, Paps, etc just need to rotate thru.

Jmac back will help. BC and Datolli and finals time more Mills can be difference makers.

Paps is a difference maker in there, he has probably been held back by injury or the lack of another small fwd. (I think they will give him a week of now as well)

Would love to see Liz higher up the ground to help Gulden, I think Liz sacrificed some of his game for Bice to go fwd. Edwards out doesn't help Liz going up the ground. Liz looks like he does it easy when he is out of defence, id definitely throw him around.

We also still need to address the 2nd Ruck which is affecting our Midfield massively

The move of Serong into the midfield has made a huge difference. His clearance work has been excellent. Sheldrick had his chances and has been found wanting. With McInerny and Rowy to come in I have no concerns about the midfield.
Second ruck is an issue, McLean contests well but is very limited when the ball comes to ground. I liked Greens effort against Port and there’s no doubt he has potential, and his ground work was surprisingly good, however it would be a big risk to go into a finals campaign with. Lets see how he performs over the next few weeks

4 GF Losses in a row, it starts to get to anyone

The last 2 have made it Premiership or bust for this club
