Inappropriate touching is highly likely to be classified as sexual assault. The African Gang rubbish is of the same level as the dildo throwing nonsense - some try hard @@@@***s trying to be clever and funny.

And I suspect reading between the lines the drug element is correct and a key part of what might drive very heavy sanctions from the club. The language used in the statement from the club would not be being used if the only issue with code of conduct/expectations around behaviour was solely breaking curfew hours.

This would appear to be an admission of some kind of misbehavior or sexual abuse of women by players involved, even before any
statement from the police.

It would intimate that something serious had taken place, else it would be quite a foolish admission of guilt before the facts were known.

I think we should be prepared for the fallout from this incident to break the Swans for at least a decade to come.

They do however Ludwig use the word allegations - I think one of the few well established facts around this is the allegation involves misbehaviour towards women (in the best case scenario) or far worse (in the worse case). So I'm not really sure they are admitting to anything that isn't already established. No one has denied at any point that some form of 'incident' took place, and no one is suggesting it is not a 'serious' matter either I don't think.

Those elements are well enough established to use the wording in the statement without it having any implications beyond reflecting what is clearly already out there.

What I'm saying is that it seems unnecessary to make any statement of that nature when we are only at the allegation stage of the process. It's the kind of statement that would be made only if those making the statement know that something offensive to women has taken place with a high degree of certainty, such as admissions by players, that have yet to become public.
