Coudl I suggest that before any of the 5 be accepted back into the SS ranks that hey should firslty front the females directly involved with the club ) AFLW players and staff and then separately the remaining AFL players and staff to explain their actions on the night and seek forgiveness. Both meetings should be controlled by appropriate experts in Attiutude to Women.

If the police investigation determines that there is no case to answer for I would say no. That would be determined by many as an admission of guilt.

I would certainly agree that they should address the Swans staff, but leave it at that.

The alleged offence was against the women involved- so if an apology is needed maybe it should be to these women as I don’t think our “miscreants” meant any offence to women in general. Please don’t think I’m defending their alleged actions in any way, because I’m not- however these women should not be compared to the girls in our AFLW team or to other women. It is possible that there were or are some financial issues involved with these particular women though I’m certainly not condoning any alleged actions by our players nor mitigating their alleged offences in any way. Just stressing that surely we can’t extend their actions against all women!

Lets just wait for the police findings.

The players will apologise only for their actions and as a result bringing the club into disrepute and taking the focus away from the club and its staff and players. They won’t read out a statement that somehow results in focus on the actual facts. Not necessary till the police action is completed.
The longer this goes on the more frustrated the 5 players would become. I think and I hope that this should all be sorted or charges laid by the time the preseason starts otherwise there is too much negative news around pre season.
