    General footy chat Wildcard Finals.

I'm sure that the AFL will be pleased at how the extra couple of places turned out, because it meant that they got at least one more week of Carlton and Collingwood, but I'm not entirely convinced. Personally I doubt if a side will ever win a premiership from the wildcard position, when all their more credentialed opponents are resting up. So, it's possible that the AFL have nominally expanded the finals to ten teams, but in reality, they've reduced it to six teams. Plus I would have enjoyed it, if the spirited Carlton comeback, had ended with them still missing the finals.

But hey, both games should be an enjoyable watch.

Really looking forward to both games because, for a couple of days, the focus will not be on us!!!

Not sure who I want to win tonight but it should be a very entertaining game.

However, I'm very sure about what I want tomorrow night! Please, Dees, please put an end to the Carlton revival!!

It’s a silly commercial construct but it’s a chance to see Dogs fans once again realise Beveridge is a fraud who had to cheat his way to a flag, so hey, not all bad. And yes, I know that means going for the Pies but even in our depleted state, we’d beat them anyway.

Actually, I take that back. Nick Daicos objected to being touched. I hate them both.

Naicos and the Bont lining up on each other would be deeply disconcerting for the commentators.

As much as I detest what happened in 2016, I'm finding myself barracking for the Poodles.

Can someone recommend a good therapist?

It’s a high pressure, low skill game.

One thing fascinating is the Dogs winning stoppages so well, when the ruck tactic is to tap it away from Daicos. Every tap they’ve won has gone in the opposite direction.

.....and Ed Richards is a shameless thrower.

I have this match on in the background (atm I'm preferring youtube vids) but the bits I have watched I have witnessed the Fairypups throwing on numerous occasions....and they largely get away with it. It's sickening. Go Pies!

I think I just saw an 8 metre Bont kick get marked and deemed long enough. FFS.
