Don't worry, I am too Meg. Utterly frustrated about this mess up (just like every other year it feels!)

Just updated - 3pm tomorrow for club members, 4pm thursday for general sale: AFL Finals Round 1 ticketing update - sydneyswans.com.au

Got to love also how the AFL website almost hides the story about it - way down the list of articles behind such critical news as 'Clarko's cheeky text'....

They don't own it, they are tenants basically. They are not the only tenants. ANZ Stadium is a Ticketek venue also. The only
way to avoid Ticketek for finals tickets in Sydney would be to play the game at Spotless, as that is a Ticketmaster venue.
True - but the AFL could put some serious corporate pressure on Ticketek to get their issues sorted out - especially given this is a never ending giant pile of poo every time finals series pretty much.

Its the simple things they could do but don't to minimise the likelihood of problems that are so frustrating - such as staggering release times/dates etc I understand even the most sophisticated ticketing systems can go down sometimes, but they don't do anything to try and improve it year in, year out. Let alone more generally the backwardness of their ticketing system - for a large majority of events you still can't choice your exact seat (something ticketmaster achieved several years ago now).

Swans have something on website but that won’t reach many people.

Swans effectively use notifications to tell us many other things - when games are starting, final scores, team selections etc. so they have the capacity to do this.

    Shhhh... don't tell anyone!!
This is part of the reason I dug deep and became a redback member... that, and the early access to the BnF - which has been taken away from us without telling first.
    Ticketek are a farce.
This is something the ACCC should look at - not only do they have a monopoly, that monopoly turns into snakes and ladders the minute you actually want to play.
