calls will certainly difficult particullary if some of the 5 want out. Blakey and his qld call (suns dont have a to[ draft pick now ,got rid of theirs last year. Nth has 5 28 and 41 at this stage and would need at least 5 + to get himif we want to let him go Chad to wec they have 3 and 21 and it would need both to get him before free agencyand again both would be needed. Joel SA has blues calling and is unrestricted but they have 11 23.24 plus others and he is worth at least 23 (they need picks for FS)
Ladhams maybe to eddendon who need a ruck cand not sure what he is worth as far as picks . James and rliley probable not worht much but for Issac we would need an entire list of pivks fom their lot .
And this all depends upon what happens with police case.

Bice won't go anywhere imho. He has been cleared of any criminal wrongdoing. Will have served his club punishment.

Unless he feels hard done by by the club and wants out - I fully expect he will be back at the club first day of pre-season (subject to any further punishment from the AFL of course), and I reckon he will train the house down.

He is a life long Swans fan and has said in the past it was his dream to play for our club. If that is true (and I have no reason to doubt it to be so), I reckon he will crack right in and want to make up for his mistake in a big way. Of the five, I reckon at this point he is by far the least likely to go anywhere - and I reckon we will back him in to make it up to the club and the playing group.

I just can't see in what world, unless there is a further update on the investigation in the meantime, that we will have any ability to be active at the trade table with any of the remaining 4. While there are clear suitors for some of them, especially Blakey

Ladhams is frankly worth a packet of chips and a mars bar at this point. I'd be surprised if we don't try to keep him for at least one more season - but assuming Green progresses again over the Summer, we are probably headed to a good place in terms of rucks longer term. With Green ready to take the mantle from Grundy as our first ruck in a couple of years time. If we were lucky you might get a late 2nd rounder for him, or some form of pick swaps - but it is not going to be much.

i felt we really set ourselves up last draft with players that will stay in Sydney either way and went hard for Curnow

then add in the fallout of the “Pullman”

Curnow from memory was something like the below that impacts our 2026 and 2027 draft picks significantly…


What Sydney Gave Up

• Forward Will Hayward

• A first-round draft pick in 2025 (Pick 11)

• A first-round draft pick in 2026

• A first-round draft pick in 2027

What Sydney Received

• Star forward Charlie Curnow

• Draft pick 31 and 42 in 2025

• A second-round draft pick in 2027

Guessing we would most likely receive either a direct free agency departure with no trade return, or, if a sign-and-trade-style arrangement happened, a modest draft-pick package rather than a premium haul. The current reporting focuses far more on a salary gap and a Carlton-led five-year offer than on any concrete trade package, ……which suggests the market is being framed around contract terms, not a big trade bounty sadly ?

Amartey is an unrestricted free agent. Hence why there isn't really talk about a trade package per say - it will all be about a compo pick if he chooses to leave. He isn't going to sign up and then be traded.

The 2 second round draft picks from Carlton were crucial in securing Harry Kyle after GWS made an early bid on him. The Swans were well aware of the interest in him and planned accordingly

One little watch is Buku Khamis has re-signed with the Dogs, after being chased hard by Carlton. Wonder if they go even a little harder for Joel Amartey now. There’s already a chunky gap on dollars as it is and the Swans won’t be moving in a meaningful way. (Nor should we given his injury history). If the reports of Carlton’s offer are true - 5yrs at $900k - we’d be up for end of first round compo.
