Don't spread mistruths. They asked if they could not attend and the club has granted them that. They still remain eligible for any award on the night.

I presume you can't but can any other on RWO imagine what a circus it would be if they were there - especially Heeney? 1000 fans wanting to either hate or love him. Incidentally, at an airport lounge over coffee yesterday I asked some very senior business leaders whether they should attend or not. They universally agreed that they thought it would be too hard on the individual Swans players to face that - and it'd be better if they had a while to assimilate back into the team without outside scrutiny.

Clearly states on the website that the players themselves requested not to attend.

It’s not that simple. Clearly the rest of the team has felt pain and been let down- therefore it will take time, perhaps a little longer than the B& F coming up next week. Of course, it would have been great if that would have been the agenda but seeing that the 5 requested to be excused, they must have felt that the team wasn’t quite ready just yet, or ma6be they aren’t ready to face the PR etc associated with ithe event.

Isaac may win it, so what? Millsey or Ramps can accept on his behalf-not a problem.
I think it’s best to let all the players sort this out by themselves without the prying eyes of headline grabbing media to cope with.
