Don't spread mistruths. They asked if they could not attend and the club has granted them that. They still remain eligible for any award on the night.

I presume you can't but can any other on RWO imagine what a circus it would be if they were there - especially Heeney? 1000 fans wanting to either hate or love him. Incidentally, at an airport lounge over coffee yesterday I asked some very senior business leaders whether they should attend or not. They universally agreed that they thought it would be too hard on the individual Swans players to face that - and it'd be better if they had a while to assimilate back into the team without outside scrutiny.

Clearly states on the website that the players themselves requested not to attend.

It’s not that simple. Clearly the rest of the team has felt pain and been let down- therefore it will take time, perhaps a little longer than the B& F coming up next week. Of course, it would have been great if that would have been the agenda but seeing that the 5 requested to be excused, they must have felt that the team wasn’t quite ready just yet, or ma6be they aren’t ready to face the PR etc associated with ithe event.

Isaac may win it, so what? Millsey or Ramps can accept on his behalf-not a problem.
I think it’s best to let all the players sort this out by themselves without the prying eyes of headline grabbing media to cope with.

I’m a bit sad we are losing Joel. He can be very good but also inconsistent and has been injury prone. His early years were promising and we gave him many opportunities to improve during that time. It’s somewhat disappointing that now that he has matured, he’s become a free agent and so he’s chasing the big bucks. I understand money talks but is this fair to the club that nursed him? Ok, we’ll receive a compo pick, but that’s not the point. I can accept if a player wants to move for a genuine reason like lack of opportunities but not just for the money, unless the gap is really significant, which may not be the case here it now seems.

Yes, we got Charlie from Carlton. But he wanted out for his own good reasons and was willing to take a pay cut! He’s certainly no mercenary!

Agreed- Carlton need him more than we do, and due to his injury record if our offer was fairly close to Carlton’s then it was a bit generous!

Still, he can be a very good impact player and so I’m sorry to lose him, especially to Carlton!

I thought it was good to hear Heeney and Warner will be going nowhere and even Blakey is only 50/50 chance. This Pulman five were silly but there is no evidence that their are sexual monsters.
