Yes, let’s develop our young players- that’s the best way going forward. Of course if an experienced player becomes available and wants to join us, by all means but not at the expense of preventing a promising young talent from getting a spot. It has worked to some extent with Hamling but we have to build for the future. The Lions are the model to follow!

Hoping also Riak Andrews gets to play a full season and puts his hands up for selection. Hope he does a Will Edwards in that regard.

interesting that patrick snell voted best vfl plaer of the year and with bowman's injury concerns shoyld get a game next year perhaps on half back line. they both should have been given an opportunity in 2026 just to see how thet would go in the big league.

With Millsey out and Ramps future uncertain- he will be managed even if he can play one more year, I’m sure three youngsters will be given opportunities in the backline. We definitely need at least one tall but preferably two, so I’m thinking Snell and Riak, though we may pick up a trade if a good defender becomes available.
