5 year contract, All Australian, top 10 player in the league, 26 years of age in prime. We could argue that he is as important as any Key forward in the game that is played predominantly off half back nowadays. Ain’t going to happen without a 3 first rounders.

Warner, Blakey and Jordan will probably all be gone by the time we are here next year irrespective of the Blakey situation this year.

The question I have is what’s made him this vile. I mean this behaviour is as bad as it can be. Maybe he had pointed out issues at the club to the authorities and nothing was done or maybe his mates were traded which he did not enjoy. Doesn’t matter as he was in the room which resulted in the club being Splashed across first page of every newspaper.

I think it is prudent for us to look after the club and ask for appropriate price 3 first rounders.

He might be filthy about it, but it’s a police decision to keep him under investigation, not the club. He sooked it up big time in the 2024 GF, and sounds like that’s his default MO.

No point playing out scenarios in your head, none of us will ever know, for me I’d hold him to the contract I have little interest in trading him, there is not a scenario we really win in a trade, so I’d force him to stay he made a commitment and he can be strong enough to see it through

I'm confused. So Melbourne is not a 'furnace'? Why would social situations in Melbourne be any different for Nic and his partner? People aren't living under rocks down there.

This might sound a bit callous but AFL footballers are professional athletes and if they sign contracts then partners and family shouldn’t come into it. Otherwise what’s the point? Clubs have to know where they stand and it’s about the club and supporters- where do the players think the big money is coming from?

I’ve come to the conclusion that many players are mercenaries- no real love for the club that has supported them and nursed them through thick and thin. Please explain how you can leave your club and join another and sing their song, when previously you were arch enemies, on the field of course. Don’t get me wrong- I admire that after the game all players are friendly and pat each other on the back and chat. But does that mean you would join them for a few dollars more?

I doubt that in fact iam pretty confident every club would of done the same, i travel east and up north regularly for work if i did that on my employers dime i would of lost my job and to me i think they got off quite lightly, the SA changes the outcome will change everything but we need to wait and see

I travel everywhere for work and, apart from the charge which isnt an issue now, that is school night @@@@ for some of the stuff I see
